I spent a weekend with a Japanese colleague of mine driving from Delhi to Jaipur in a company car with driver. This little project is a very subjective series of sketches from the Pink City. f course Rajasthan is on the one hand all about color, but I decided for reasons of cotent and narrative to go the other way, and turn my back of the gorgeous colors of the state. I hope it makes sense upon viewing...


All three are quite strong. This is why I think India looks better in black and white. All the superficial dazzle of colorful India is gone; what remains is the real barebone truth.  The grit, the frank stare of curiosity, taking your measure and you theirs.
