Although India occupies only 2.4% of the world's land area, it supports over 15% of the world's population. Indian economy has grown steadily over the last two decades, its growth has been uneven when comparing different social groups, economic groups, geographic regions, and rural and urban areas.

This project is dedicated for those who earns a little in exchange of a harsh labour. They are lowest paid group in my country and they have to struggle much for earning theirs breads.
The average income of the labours/workers is $2- $3 per day............
I am so inspired by their vigor and huge enegry for survival in this world.
Hope u like it.

I've unfortunately been unable to comment too much recently, but mind you, I've been following your series. For me, the best on Photoholik right now. There is nothing wrong with short collections, only 7 photos if I'm not mistaken. This is overshadowed by the complete quality of those photos presented. From the brutal, raw tension of the first (team work), to the arching pick-axe against a glowing sky in your final...a demonstration of consistancy of theme that we should all admire. I love the psychological implications of judgement contained (at least for myself) in the photo of the man working in the brickyard juxtaposed with the forgiving and unjudgemental expanse of nature in Coming Storm...what better than these assesments of life...
Let us not forget the footwork, the beautiful coreography, of the men hauling a cart....
This is a proud example of the human struggle...amazing really.
