Rallying the Troops

Darren M / © Darren Melrose - 17/02/2008 16:27:04 project: Is it a protest if noone comes \ Asia \ Taiwan \ T'ai-pei Shih
Well, the sign is coming down, their side has lost.  That still doesn't stop this protester from trying to rally the faithful one more time.  Not sure what the possible effect might be, but he was doing his best.

Even here, at pretty much the height of the festivities, one can see how the police were far more common than the participants.  At this point in time, he was by far the most interesting thing happening, yet there are really only a handful of folks paying attention.

To see how the police and media were in full force, but how actual citizens were not, go here.

Very nicely composed along the vertical, all those blue suits leading up t Comrade Che there in the middle. A solid, intelligent image. Well seen!

I am very happy you didnt give into temptatio to abort this one too soon, and as a result you have here what I am striving for with my projects: a good representation of a tangible story/event. And as this nears 20 shots, a really indepth telling of what happened. The whole project I think is one of the most solid ones on PH now, it doesnt go for fireworks but that wasnt the intention. Its a STORY, and stories are few and far between here so far.
